I actually had a friend who referred to me as the Dark Angel of Death.
I was so hungry for affirmation as a woman that there was a lot of short term relationships.
Then God said, “Trust me. You don’t have to trust him. Just trust me.” I said, “OK.” So I turned Lonnie over to the Lord and said, “OK God, I trust you. I’m gonna move forward.”
I tried to live for the Lord and the Devil at the same time. I was straddling the fence, so to speak. It doesn’t work. I thought, “I can’t live it.”
The next thing I remember was a knock on my windshield and blue lights when I woke up in my rear view mirror.
When a child grows up thinking abuse is what love from a parent looks like, you don’t know it’s so horrifically wrong until someone else tells you.

In attempt to find out how to best answer the girls we started reading the Bible together, and listening to Christian radio. We didn’t attend church for a while. Christian radio was our church.
